Why free-range actually matters

Free-range matters because a hen with room to roam eats the way she was meant to: fresh greens, seeds, insects and grit from open pasture. That varied diet shows up in the egg — a deeper yolk, a firmer white, a fuller flavour.
Space also means calmer birds. Our hens dust-bathe in the sun, perch at dusk and lay on their own rhythm, without crowding or stress. Healthier hens need no hormones and no shortcuts.
By choosing eggs from birds raised this way, you support a slower kind of farming — one that is better for the flock, the land and the table.
